A Simple Philosophy

18 May

“If you don’t get what you want, change your mind.”

I heard this from an art teacher approximately twenty years ago.  As a philosophy it has served me well — both in art and in life.

The next time you feel frustrated, think about changing your mind.  Try looking at life from another angle.

See where it takes you!

A very clever way of saying we need to appreciate what we do have. Thanks for sharing.

I think it can have different meanings, depending on the situation. That is what I like most about it.

Sometimes it would be nice just knowing what I want. Then changing my mind would be an option. Thank you for putting that excellent thought out in the ethers. I am enjoying it immensely.

The late Ann Richards (former governor of TX) had a line like that. She said that she went to her hairdresser and said she didn’t like her hair much. The hairdresser’s response was, “change your mind”.

Thanks for visiting, Tammy. We should all decide to like our hair!

Like the lyrics to the song “love the one you’re with”. (what a cool picture!)

Exactly, Peg. I took the photo in Prague. I was fascinated by the individuality of the buildings there, and I wondered how the designer of this one decided to split the stag on a corner like that.

I love both the philosophy and the picture!

Thanks. It pays to be flexible, especially for stepmoms.
