Oh, do I remember getting under my desk for drills. What a time.
This atomic bomb stuff was a bit before my time, but we definitely did the desk hiding for emergencies of other kinds. The desks are just too small.
The “what to do” poster depiction of a man lying next to a curb with a newspaper spread over him is just baffling to me…as if that would protect him from anything!
